Default what does the A mean

  i would like some one to enlighten me on what the A(with some thing up) in the ftns AIDYES or ACDialog::OnInitialUpdate() means, iam using Sams TYS Visual C++ in 21Days but this thing is Halting my Study.
please help me.
if it has a meaning then which keys on the key board do i use to type it up???

Hi Sam

If it is Ä you are talking about, you can
type it with Alt + 0196, but I dont thing this
character is there with any purpose. I believe
it is some sort of curruption of the text in the
source code files. you should simply do
away with this character by find and replace.
replace it with nothing that is leave the "replace
with" field blank. make sure the "whole word" and "match
case" check boxes are checked.

Write back if there is anything else you wanna ask.

Visual C++ in 21Days but this thing is Halting my Study.

All the Sams books are horrible, so I'm afraid you will continually find that your book will Halt your Study.
