Default Best SDK for Beginning Visual C++ 2008, I. Horton

I would like to know where to go to purchase the SDK for use when studying the book 'Beginning Visual C++ 2008' by Ivor Horton. I am unable to find it on MicroSoft's website. In the past I was using the free download for Visual C++ 2005, but in time I found it to be incomplete. For 2008, I want to just go ahead and purchase the SDK disc.
