Lightbulb Updating My Software

I'm new this is forum. I've just bought Ivor Horton's Beginning Visual C++ 2008. I have an older version of Visual C++ (2005), so I need to update my software before I begin on this book. To begin with kind of a dumb question, how should I obtain Visual C++.NET 2008? I don't need another book, just the software itself. Thanks!

Default Updating My Software

I guess no one replied to this because they thought I should be able to figure this out myself. It finally dawned on me that Visual Studio 2008 must include Visual C++ 2008. I did find the product specs for the Standard version on Amazon, and sure enough, it does include C++. I'll post this in case other people are as thick-headed as me and fail to see this connection.
