i will use asp.net with vb in my final year project.

what sofware or tools i should use to drawing(or pic) a map like say a state only.

in the map i would like show to the user the location where they want to go.

If you're wanting image manipulation software, for free, one of the best free ones is the GIMP (http://www.GIMP.org). Strictly isn't a VS05 problem, though...
