Default How many VS developers are there all over the world?

Hi,

Can someone point me to a reference showing an estimation of how many Visual Studio developers are there across the world? How many Java developers are there across the world?

Thanks

Well count me in for the Visual Studio one.

Man Java gets a free ride even though it an its IDE are but the waste product of my experience. Java APIs are trash and their documentation is thusly.
Ergo, the market share they have is a bad metric for quality.

Unless I miss something, that values are for 2005.. I wouldn't trust them, even in 2005 because there is no source of the data... google has to have a better poll somewhere..

Oh sorry about that. I didn't read it properly. In any case, a rather recent book on algorithms in C# stated that it is getting more popular.
