Temporary Solutions

According to Professional Visual Studio 2005, if I create a solution but then exit VS2005 without saving it, the files created should automatically be deleted, however I just tried this and the files are all still there, although the changes I made to them were gone.

Is there a gotcha that I likely missed? Or do WROX and MS have a failure to communicate here?
