Default Development in .Net or SharePoint?

Hi All,

I just started a new job where I will be learning a lot about SharePoint so that the organization I am working for will be able to use it. My background is in Visual Basic development. I was wondering is there a good market for someone with Share Point skills or should I stick with development in .Net ?

Thank You...

Default

FYI:

We use both .NET and SharePoint. So, if it's any clue, we have a much harder time finding developers who are skilled in SharePoint than finding developers who are skilled in .NET.

On that basis (scarcity) SharePoint development may be a more valuable skill.

You have the advantage of knowing BOTH.
