Default Problem with Resource Files

Hello everyone,
I have been struggling with this for some time and, based on my Google Searchs, this isn't very well documented! What I have is is a series of files (.bat, .xml) that are used within a windows application that I am building and their build action is set to: Content.

However when I build my application the files in question are not copied to either my Debug or Release folder!

Any ideas on how to include these files in the build action?

Hi Doug,

Not sure if this is supposed to work like that or not.

But you can do it through a Build Event:

Open the Properties of your Windows project, switch to the Build Events category. In the "Post Build Event Command Line" you can enter a copy command to copy files to your Debug or Release folder.

A bit of a work around, but it may work for you.

Cheers,

Imar

Hey Imar,
Yep that worked like a charm, thanks!

Code:
xcopy [path]\*.bat [path]\bin\debug\ /y
xcopy [path]\*.inf [path]\bin\debug\ /y
xcopy [path]\*.xml [path]\bin\debug\ /y
xcopy [path]\*.exe [path]\bin\debug\ /y
xcopy [path]\*.sys [path]\bin\debug\ /y
