Default VS2003 Connection looses pwd settings

Does anyone know's how to enable vs2003 to retain the entered login and password settings for a database connection on the server explorer?:(

In the connection tab there is a chaeckbox labelled 'allow password saving' that needs checking.

This I know but it's not kept everytime I close VS2003 en reopen these connections loose this information.

Ah, I think it may actually still be there, but if you try to reconfigure the connection then it will want you to type the password in again to ensure you have the right to change connection details.

I think if you create a connection by dragging the database onto a form then look at the connection string property you will find that the password is still there (provided the last time you configured the connection you entered a password and checked the box).
