Default Setting up VS.Net

Please help someone before I pack it all in..

I am going through my course book Developing Microsoft ASP.Net Web Appl using VS.Net.

So here goes.

I start a new blank Project. I name it and save it in "C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/myfolder" and the press enter

Then I add new project

The name is masked but the location comes up as "http://localhost/WebApplication" I check the radio button to ADD to Solution and then enter.

Problem now is that I always get this error

Unable to creat web project 'webproject1' etc etc The 2 need to map to the same server location

I cant cope anymore. I have been at this 8 hours today.
If I save my Blank solutions in one folder and then add another webproject and save it to the same folder shouldnt that work.

Please someone help
