I have a word document with a Table of Contens based on the headers 1 and 2. I want to insert another wordfile at the end of the document as an appendix which has also a TOC with headers. If I refresh the TOC, the header info from Doc 1 and 2 are merged in the TOC of appendix A. How can I insert an Appendix which allows me to do a TOC update without merging the Headers from doc 1 with doc 2

Hi Paul!
I think you should do next thing:
Choose Insert -> Break… - > To next page - > OK
And after that insert a new text file.
