JBoss 3.0 Deployment and Administration
Hi,
I recently bought the JBoss 3.0 Deployment and Administration book and I was looking for the instructions to deploy Petstore on JBoss (as advertised on page 2). I was not able o find anything in the book (or in the Index), so I was looking for the Errata on your web site. Turns out that the book itself is missing from your web site.
Any idea?

I suggest reading the FAQ. ( http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=268)

Thanks Hal,
I searched hi and lo, but I was not able to locate that book on either the Wiley or the APress sites. Shall I take it back to the book store? :-)

Dear Vladimir,
I did not find your book at Apress either. Wiley did not purchase this book and we can no longer distribute the code we received for books that we did not buy from Wrox's liquidation. Though I'm not sure if errata would have been part of those files anyway.
I had been under the impression that Apress purchased all remaining books so I am not sure why this book is not in their catalog. Did you try contacting their customer service? Their site has [email protected] as the email for them.

Vladimir - I would consider returning the book. Since Wiley is no longer providing downloads for the books they didn't buy. You can write to APRESS directly and ask them if they would be able to provide you with the code download. I can tell you that APRESS doesn't seem to be re-publishing most of the books they bought (then why buy them???)
Jennifer- Could you expound on why Wiley no longer distributes the code from other Wrox books? Did Apress request you stop? I, for one, was actually REFERRED to the Wrox site by Wiley to download code for a book that they bought...

Apress contacted Wiley's lawyers to have us discontinue offering code on books that we did not purchase. That is all that I can say. When we returned with the server that the liquidator gave us back in April and realized that it had ALL downloads, we posted all the code as a service to our customers (b/c at the time no company had purchased remaining books). We thought that one day this might happen and it is unfortunate.

Thanks everyone,
I have decided to keep the book, despite the fact that $38 (price + tax) is a little bit high for a reference. The same info can be found in the product documentation, maybe not so well organized. I like turning pages rather than scrolling a window and that's the main reason.
Regarding the info that I was looking for, I found it on another web site (thanks Google).

Jennifer,
Thanks for the information- I find it very strange, however. Considering APRESS' own email to me about Vb.NET Deployment Handbook sent me to the Wrox site to download the code...
