Default Delete or Flame

RE: C# > 20 Questions on C# by devdotnet

I think the post should mentioned above should be deleted or left open for the rest of us to have our piece of devdotnet.

Many of us I expect are insulted at devdotnet's attitude toward Imar.
I think the forum regulars would be happy to put devdotnet in his place.

Locking the forum denies due justice, but I know we (I mean you) dont want to sink to that level so maybe we should delete the post altogether.

Imar, Love your work, you should be knighted.

Rod

My rationale in locking this was:
1. I deleted the last few replies where the flaming began
2. The last reply left is Imar's, effectively letting him have the last word

And I let devdotnet know off-forum under what conditions his continued participation here would be welcomed.

I know what a great guy Imar is (as evidenced by the book I've signed him to co-author, which he's essentially done with by the way:

plug plug plug<g>)
So, if anyone wants to join me and Rod in knighting Imar and other pats on the back, let's do that here, a more productive expression than flaming. :)

Thanks for your support guys. Much appreciated.

The reason I didn't reply to or flame in the original thread were threefold:

a) I am way too busy finishing my new book that Jim so pleasantly plugged ;)

b) I am not easily offended. The OP offended about 20% of the world population which is much worse than offending me.

3) Guys like devdotnet are better left completely ignored. There is no point in trying to explain what we think or feel to people approaching a forum community the way he did.

I agree with Jim that deleting the posts was the best thing to do, although I also see the point of "denied justice".... ;)
