Default email application

Hi my name is nathan.

i need to create a email application for our website.

Actually what should happen is the following:

the staff members should use our website to send and receive emails.
each has been assigned a email addresses.

They can send an unlimited amount of emails and recive.
This is the email accounts that came from the Hosting company.

Now what do i need to do to create this email functionality on our site.

What must i have in place?

What technology is the back end of your web site running on? ASP.NET? JSP? PHP? Soemthing else? let us know so I can redirect your question to the appropriate forum here.

Can any one tell me is there any php based open source email apps where usage status viewed like the yahoo or hotmail or gmail..

Want to know New thing may be it is good or may be it is bad!!
