Default Book cover and ISBN Misleading..

Help!

I shop at www.amazon.ca and I was looking for "Professional VB.NET 2nd Edition".. The search result gave me 2 books.

--------------------------------------------------
Paperback - 985 pages 2nd edition (April 15, 2002)
Language: English
ISBN: 1861007167
Cover: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/18...5.MZZZZZZZ.jpg
--------------------------------------------------
Paperback - 1024 pages 2nd edition (April 2002)
Language: English
ISBN: 0764544004
Cover: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/07...1.MZZZZZZZ.jpg
--------------------------------------------------

looking at the date of publish, I should get ISBN: 1861007167 .. however, I know that (ISBN: 0764544004) is the newer one right?

That confused me, so I went to www.amazon.com and they only carry (ISBN: 1861007167) but saying it's 1024 pages.

So I also went to www.chapters.indigo.ca, they too only carry (ISBN: 1861007167) but with ISBN: 0764544004's cover and said it's 1024 pages.

Ahh. So which one should I get? Should I go with www.amazon.ca which carries 0764544004 on the safer side? or there's not much a difference.. (wrox just wanna play our mind? :)

thx for reading..

What you are finding may happen for the next month or so. Wiley's stock with a Wiley ISBN will begin shipping from our warehouse next week - and then accounts will receive new stock and have the opportunity to fix their databases. It is within the bookstore account's right to sell both ISBNs (they should be at the same price) simultaneously. They are not required to return their stock to old Wrox's US distributor - AOL Time Warner Book Group. Wiley issued new ISBNs for the books for our own internal tracking and for other business reasons. And you will only notice subtle differences to the books.
