i am using the bleow code in my ASP Page.

Response.AddHeader "Content-Disposition", "attachment;filename=xx.xls"
Response.ContentType = "application/ms-excel"

when opening the page browser is promted the excel file save dialog.
when opening the excel file it displays data correct. but default format of excel is not displaying.

how to do that?

What are you referring to with "default format of excel"?

Is it formatting you set in your spreadsheet ( cell size, character set, etc )?
