Default XML Javascript + Netscape equivalent

i have the following code for Microsoft Internet Explorer below.
************************************************** **************
var objxmlHTTP = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")
var xmlMyEvals = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.xmldom")
objxmlHTTP.open("POST", strPath, false);
var objXMLReturn = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.xmlDom")
************************************************** **************
I need an equivalent code for the Netscape browser...

I tried doing the following for Netscape browser, but the last 2 lines of code never worked.
************************************************** ****************
var objxmlHTTP = new XMLHttpRequest();
var xmlMyEvals = document.implementation.createDocument("", "EMPTY", null);
objxmlHTTP.open("POST", strPath, false);
var objXMLReturn = document.implementation.createDocument("","doc", null);
************************************************** ****************

please help me if anybody has an alternative for Netscape.
