query xml file for particular field

hi,
i have created an xml file that contains names like james,john,jag,cameron etc.now i want to query xml file for a particular name like i want to find james in the xml file ?

You will probably want to use XPath to locate elements but without seeing an example of the XML it's hard to advise more fully.
