             In my project i need to parse an xml file and though i have some idea regarding the xml tags, i don't know about the DOM parser and its initial implementation.Can u send me one or two complete examples(simple parsing examples) and help me.

you should read about the DOM API of java. there are also a lot of examples in the net. just google it. =D
