Hi Friends can some one tell me the day to day use of XML.That is as a java programmer or as a data entry operator where is the practical application of XML.

Ideally, as you say, "day-by-day" use of XML can be the same as, for example, day-by-day use of HTML. There are lot of sites written in XML and there are lot of systems having as their input, internal data and the output in XML. There are lot of such arguments and examples.
