Default Page numbering: count odd pages only

I have a document that is printed duplex. The page numbering should only be on the front side of the page, so only the odd pages should be counted for page numbering. My document only has one page sequence. Numbering shoud be as followed 'n / m'. Does anyone know how to do this. I've already tried just about everything. I'm getting desperate now. I would really appreciate some ideas.
