Default change element by string

Hi,
I want to change the XML element name by string using XSL

Example XML
  <xsStrings>
     <M>Mr</M>
     <F>Ms</F>
     <C>Child</C>
     <I>Infant</I>
  </xsStrings>
 <participants>
   <kind>F</kind>
   <name>Gygax</name>
   <firstname>Kthi</firstname>
</participants>

here I want to access the value of chield nodes of XsString depend on the value of participants/kind

for eg: if the participants/kind value = F then the Value of Kind is replace by Ms using XSL

Please Help me.

Default

If $x is the parent element of xsStrings and participants, you will want to do something like

$x/xsStrings/*[name()=$x/participants/kind]
