Default sorting decimal values in xsl

<xsl:for-each=....>
<xsl:sort data-type="number" select="."/>

I am getting decimal values for this.Below is the given sample data.
It is not sorting correctly.

5.10
5.6
5.8
5.9


Any help on this would be appreciated

I can't see what you're doing wrong from this information. Please supply a complete (but minimal) source document and stylesheet, tell us what output you are getting, what XSLT processor you are using, and how you are running it.
