I want to pass to a parameter from the java servlet to xsl stylesheet. Is it possible?

In XSLT 2.0, use the document-uri() function.

In 1.0, pass the URI in to the stylesheet as a parameter.

Generally, the answer is to extract the query parameters from the URL in the calling application and pass them as stylesheet parameters to the transformation.
