Hi,

My main scope is to transform XML files. But the scope also includes renaming the PDF/JPG files that are cross-referred in the input XML files. The PDF/JPG files will be present in the same folder where the XML file is present.

List of files in a folder:

1. Test.xml - This is the input xml that contains cross-refs to the following PDF/JPG files.
2. Test1.pdf - This has to be renamed as Test1_sample.pdf during run time.
3. Test2.pdf - This has to be renamed as Test2_sample.pdf during run time.
4. Test1.jpg - This has to be renamed as Test1_sample.jpg during run time.
5. Test2.jpg - This has to be renamed as Test2_sample.jpg during run time.

Hope my requirement is clear.

XSLT doesn't really have any easy way to modify files on the hard drive. You'd have to probably write some form of extension function, but that would depend on which processor you where using, and this kind of thing would probably be easier to just write in that language.
