This thread was for VS2008, whereas your (albeit helpul) link sends people to Visual Studio 2010. Microsoft seems to refuse to let you download older versions from them. I had to go hunting for a VSexp2008 version due to memory constrains on my aging laptop.
Am I missing where MS allows you to download older Visual Studio versions?
