Seems like a better deal then just saying "Here it is"... But if you like that way better, you can do it yourself. Feel free to provide direct links to anyone who asks for them.
I think you misunderstand. The Wrox books say the code can be downloaded from here, but on first appearances, it is not obvious that the code is now available from APress. Your first reaction to loading the downlads page is to search for your book. Following from this, making people LEARN how to use the resources because its not obvious on first appearances is not what I thought this site was about. I have a feeling that saying "Here it is..." would probably cut down on alot of this.

I must admit that I am guity as charged on the second point, as well as many others I am sure, but I am looking to download code that the book says is somewhere else, and I shouldn't have to be browsing around looking for links to the downloads. I dont spend time on Wrox's web site, or APress's for that matter. so its not plainly obvious where the downloads are.

TO summarise, your still not helping anyone by saying "I found it in 20 seconds", that is not helping people to LEARN. They are expecting to learn something from the book they just paid for, not try to decipher a moderators comments about how easy it was for him/her to find it.

Suggestion: Maybe add a direct link to the correct page on APress, as well as their home page link on the downloads page.
