I recommend using books b'coz u get a detailed glance and good explanations of the aspects, yet more detailed.
For C, i used C by Example by Noel Kalicharan(Cambridge Univ. Edition), For C++, i use beginning C++ by Ivor Horton(Wrox books are the best)
