I use multiple computers (they're mine, not public), and don't usually log out. I can't think of any reason to log out unless you think someone that you don't want to have access to your account will use that computer. I usually don't log out at home because no one but my family uses the computer anyway, and, like your dad, none of my family ever comes to P2P but me.
