HI, i am having difficulties with assigning my computer(machine name) name to the IUSR_MachineName object name in the database properties (select user or groups dilougue box.. i am trying to connect a Access database to my Website running on iis server widows xp proffessional. Page 393 Beginning Dreamwearver 2004 by Wrox. i have a dell optiplex machine but do no know what to type in after IUSR_ ? i tried dell, and optiplex and other combinations. i want to give IIS an acount to connect to the access database. I appreciate any replies. thank you.....

Hi there,

If you need to know the name of your computer, right-click My Computer on your desktop and choose Properties. Switch to the Computer Name tab and you'll see the name of your computer listed under Full computer name.

That's the name you should append to IUSR_ to give IIS the required permissions to write to the database.
