Default I Need Help Guys ... Please fast :>

hello everybody
im new with databas , and im working in project for my university , i want to know 2 things about database

1) i use MS access to make the tables for the web ... the file size like 10 MB , i just want to know when i upload that data on the host and someone request information from that data , its will be slow because the data file size big ?

2 ) i want to know if i can do something about protect the data in the website
thats all

1)even if your db is 10 mb, it shouldn't slow the server down from pulling the data in your table. How quickly the data is displayed will be affected by how much data there is.

2)you can protect your data by keeping your db in a cgi-bin folder instead of keeping your db in the same dir as your asp pages. If you do this, make sure to change your Server.MapPath("myDB.mdb")to be able to locate your db.

ummmm - why would Badie want to put it in a cgi-bin folder?
Basically any folder that can't be accessed through the web will do.
For example: say your root web folder is C:\Inetpub\wwwroot (the standard IIS web root).
You could put it ANYWHERE else other than in a child of that - It could go on a different hard drive if you like - even a different computer! CGI has nothing to do with it.
