there are 3 front-ends(client) connected to the back-end(SQL server).let say front-end A,front-end B and front-end C.each have different tables on it but linked through primary keys of the tables.front end A receives input from users and stored the data in database.front-end B uses information from front-end A to calculate some figures to produce reports. the system having problem when producing the reports. When data stored for the 1st in F-end A,it doesnt update to the f-end B.the users have to resave in f-end A so that it can be updated. what makes this problem occures?any feedback will be really appreciated.thanks

I don't understand what your problem is. You said that there were three front ends: A, B, and C. You also said there was a back end on a SQL server. So there shouldn't be ANY tables in any front end. The front ends are just for capturing data which are all stored -- whether captured in A, B, or C -- in ONE back end where all the tables are. If there is just one back end with tables, what exactly is your problem?

not all the tables are in back-end.there are few tables in each of the front-end databases.As you said, there should not be a problem.
let me specify my problem.
there are 2 front end databases.service.mdb & label.mdb.The user1 place a order for the first time in service.mdb by assigning lot id(primary key).
when the user2 need to print labels he tried to search the data refering to lot id in label.mdb,but the error comes as data not found. this problem will be only solved if the user1 retrieve the data by refering to the id in service.mdb and resave the data again.i dont understand why this problem arise because the data is already stored in back end.
