Default Double Buffering in Access Forms

Does anyone know if it is possible, and how to implement double-buffering in Access forms?

I have a Custom Progress Bar that is rendered, and is causing a bit of screen flicker and would like to eliminate it.

Just wondered if it is possible in VBA, I know that graphics in VBA is extremely limited so expecting disappointment! :D

Many Thanks,
Rob

You might do some research on screen painting or screen freezing to prevent the flicker. This will post a false image of the form while process is happening. Not the same thing, but I think it is there to do the same job. I have never used it but heard of it.

Hi mmconal,

Ive had a dig on the internet but not found much of use. I suppose one could argue that most VBA based work is not really focused on **************** UI's =)

Screen freezing is not really an option with a progress bar, and of course the repainting is whats causing the problem!

I will see if I can find out some more.

Thanks for the response,

Regards,
Rob
