Default Double-buffering

Is there a way to perform the double-buffering that smart navigation performs? I want to eliminate the flash caused by the postback without using smart navigation. Thanks.

I'm curious, how would I eliminate the flash using smart navigation? Do you have any links to examples?

All you have to do is set SmartNavigation="true" in your page directive. SmartNavigation uses double buffering to do this for you.

However, SmartNavigation has it's quirks so I want to write the script to do it myself but I also want to use double buffering...such a predicament.
