Default Check through VBA if file opens

Hi Guys

Is there any way I can find if file ( of any extension ) is open or not.

Key Idea

File(all ext) is stored on shared network folder. If file is open by any network user then other network user whi might want to open same file get message file is already open for editing.

I did work out but manage to find a way only with MS Office product. But my problem is file may be of any type like bmp, jpeg, CAD

Any help appretiate

Thanks

Ayaz
