Default Subform Datasheet

I am using Access 2003 on a windows XP machine. I have put a subform(in datasheet view) onto another form. When I open the original form there is always a horizonal scrollbar on the subform, unless i make the subform area so big that the user sees gray on the side. Also if there are more records in the subform than the subform height can contain, then the vertical scrollbar appears. I am happy that the vertical scrollbar appears, but if you scroll all the way down, the gray at the bottom of the subform's datasheet appears. Is there anyway to make it so the subform won't scroll past the edge of the datasheet? Thank you for any help!

I have not ever seen a way with within Access.

Why do you want to prevent this?

How would you be able to show only one record?

I mean...well say the datasheet looks like an Excel spreadsheet. Now all the records are stored is separate rows (because i do want to see all of the records at once). Now say the subform that contained the datasheet wasn't large enough (vertically speaking) so you could view all the records at once. So you have to scroll down to see more...which is good. Once you get to the last record though, you can scroll past it to the gray area...which is bad (aesthetically speaking). Can I make the the scroll bar end when the last record is in view? I hope that makes sense.
