Default Runtime Access 2K and Sql 2K

Hi,

I hope I'm in goof forum.
I've to install a access 2000 runtime, working with Sql 2000 database on XP.
The problem is that it's impossible to make runtime connect the sql server unless after having installed sql server 2000 client on the same machine.
I read some message concerning access 2000 projects and sql 2000 but the solution found on microsoft's site is for windows 98 (the solution of copy/paste some files doesn't work because the files named seem to do not exist).

Help !!!!

Laure
