You cannot convert an Access MDB to an EXE directly. The best you can do is create an MDE file. There is an Access Developers software that will assist in distributing MDEs out and coming close to an EXE, though. Search the archives here for more detailed answers.

To create an MDE you click Tools > Database Utilities > Make MDE File.

Every version of Access is able to convert an MDB to an MDE as long as your VBA code is compiled with no errors.

To make an MDE, you maust also have your MDB in the same format as the version of Access that will be making the MDE.
Since you have 2003, you wil have to upgrade the 2000 MDB format to 2002/2003 format. Then you will be able to make an MDE. Note that the MDE will not be able to bueused on a machine with Access 2000.
