How do you modify field properties in a linked table? Opening the table, then selecting "View > Design view" does not allow modification. It says "Table "" is a linked table with some properties that can not be modified". The linked table manager just updates the links. Any ideas?

I don't think you can send modifications to a linked table, but I could be wrong.

You have to open the back end database file or application.

If you want to modify a linked SQL table, you need to use SQL Enterprise Manager or SQL Query Analyzer.

If you are modifying an Access table, you need to open the mdb file that you are linked to.

Etc.
