Default adp slowness

Access 2000 -> sql server 2000

I'm finding access adp is slow querying data but the same query in enterprise manager or query analyzer is fast.

majority of slowness comes when the combo box wizard is getting the sample values to show you after you choose the table and columns.

client net tools is set to use tcp/ip on :1433

What could be the issue ?

Where are the queries? If it is adp, are they views on the server? If so, then they are optimized by SQL, as with EM and QA. If they are not on the server, then they are not optimized and could be slower.
