help required on access reports
i have designed a small access database for my establishmnet.
contaning query DATA.
which as following fields, with data as shown
DATE VOUCHERNO CREDIT DEBIT
12/03/2006 3 10
12/03/2006 4 20
12/03/2006 5 40
12/04/2006 6 15
12/04/2006 7 30
12/04/2006 8 50

basing on this query, report should be generated showing Opening and closing balances day wise as shown below

Report
DATE VOUCHERNO CREDIT DEBIT
12/03/2006 OB 50 ------------------> previous day
12/03/2006 3 10 CB
12/03/2006 4 20
12/03/2006 5 40

it runs for the whole month
OB, CB is not entered in table, it should be generated at runtime
OB should br carried forward from previous day
OB, CB should be generated while report is been previewed
Experts help is required in this

I personally would create a table to store this data, then run code to gather values for each day and make the calculations. Clear out the table before each run.

You could probably do a straight query to get the opening and closing balances each day, but not and hold the transaction values at the same time.

You could also create a report with the transaction in the detail sections, grouped by day, and then in the group header put the OB and CB using formulas in unbound text boxes.
