I have linked a spreadsheet into my tables. I use the spreadsheet in an append query which runs successfully on the first time.

I then use 'update links' to refresh the data in the linked table by pointing to a new spreadsheet. When I try to re-use the append query I get a Numeric Field Overflow error. I have removed the only numeric field from the query and tried it again - runs first time, gives the error on each subsequent attempt.

I rewrite the query identically as a new query - it runs with the exact same data as the re-used saved query fails on. Am I missing some sort of built in safety here? Do I need to override some control that restricts the re-use of an append query to prevent multiple appends?

Any ideas to save more of my hair from being tugged out would be welcome.

the error comes because when u try updating links u point to a new spreadheet.u have to use the same spreadsheet which u linked and not another one.
