Linked Excel WS Primary Key?
I've just been assigned the job of linking a bunch of Excel tables to a Microsoft Access Database. I'm creating said database from scratch, and have linked the appropreate worksheets to their tables. This database will be updated thru the Excel sheets weekly, so therefore I needed to link them, and not import. However, I need to create a Primary Key to create relationships in Access. Currently, there are only 3 colums, the name of the feild, the date, and the value for that feild. I wanted to use the "date" column as the primary key, but Access wont let me alter anything in the table once I link it.
I know of no way to create a Primary Key in excel before I link, so how would I go about creating one in Access AFTER i linked the two together?
Thank you in advance...
