I'm trying to create a front end in MS Access 97 for a SQL Server 2000 Database.

If I create a pass-thru query to my table, I see records. If I create a linked table using ODBC, every field of every record shows #Deleted.

What am I doing wrong? I haven't worked with databases in a while.

you may want to check the back tables and see if one of those tables has triggers trying to update, insert, delete, while another is trying to do the same.

I saw similar occurance. In Access 2000, I used the linked table manager to renew the link to the ODBC db table, which fixed the problem. In Access97, one would have to delete the linked table (delete the link, not the table, then link the table again. If deleting the link, be sure to note the name of the table in Access, so the same name can be restored after new link is made.

The article states "..If you close and re-open the table ... the deleted errors are removed"
But when I saw it, closing table and reopening did not fix. Closing access and reopening did not fix.

...applies to Access 97
I saw it in Access 2k.
