Questions about upgrading from Access 2000 to 2010 and using Runtime for first time
I have a small office with six work stations all accessing an Access 2000 application from a server. All seven machines have the full Access 2000 software loaded. I'm upgrading and converting to Access 2010 and I'm interested in saving money by only loading the full product on the server and one work station and using Access Runtime 2010 for the other five work stations. I've never heard of Runtime until now. Is this the proper use of Runtime? Do I need to add/update the application to work with Runtime? I have several mail merge word documents that each of the six work stations use and I'll be upgrading to Word 2010 on all seven machines. Will these mail merge documents work from the work stations with Runtime?
