Default implement ajax edit in place with asp

i am new to ajax technology but i am working with ajax on my site. i am having a problem with a ajax edit form element in place when i try to implement it in asp vbscript. hopefully someone here can help me in detailed.

what i need to do is the edit in place function which similar as the flickr.com.

i have found some example code on net. but when i try to implement it with asp, it seem not work. after i save it, it seem not update my Db record. and i try to refresh the page. the page will display back the default msg like: "click here to edit."

tis is implement with php code but i m using the asp.


i looking forward someone can guide me in detailed and how to start it. if anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
