Default Tomcat3.3.2 to Tomcat5.0.24

Hi,
I am trying to move a program from Tomcat3.3.2 to Tomcat5.0.24. I am just trying to move the most popular GreetingServlet program.

It runs fine in 3.3.2 but i get the following error in 5.0.24 -

HTTP Status 404 - /greeting/servlet/GreetingServlet

Can anyone please help me on this ???

Thanks,
ApJ

I can't really help with this since you are not elaborating enough on this AND I don't know anything about Java. Beyond that, you should really ask this in a more appropriate forum

Iam unable to run servlets using the tomcat 5.59 server. There is no problem with compilation. but when i try to access the servlet using the URL iam getting the error

HTTP Status 404 - /ch1/servlet/sampleServlet
type Status report
message /ch1/servlet/sampleServlet
description The requested resource (/ch1/servlet/sampleServlet) is not available.

i have put the source code of the servlet in the directory
C:\jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9\webapps\ch1
and after compilation i have put the class file in the directory C:\jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9\webapps\ch1\WEB-INF\classes

i have followed these steps according to the tomcat documentation

iam able to run the sample servlets in the servlets-examples directory, but when it comes to my own servlets iam having problems in running.

what might be the problem. il be thankful if some one can help me.......
