I have been assigned a project regarding Web-Services.The project is to develop a Web-Service for the P2P Radio through which client can register itself.
  P2P-Radio is a program that can distribute audio and video streams (MP3/Ogg Vorbis/NSV) over the Internet in a peer-to-peer manner.So,instead of Client registering itself with the Centralized Server of P2P Radio, it should call some method of Web-Service for Registration.
     I am interested in developing Web-Services in Java.Can anyone please tell me how to go about it?

So Essentially,we have to replace the Client-Server set-up by Web-Services.

Have you looked into using Apache Axis?? It's what I've used on previous projects to implement web services with SOAP.

Alternatively you could just implement some Servlets that know how to parse a POST and do the desired tasks.
