It all depends on your proxy and the mail server you are using. If you have Exchange or another mail server in your organization, you can set the name of that server in the Relaying options for the Microsoft SMTP server. (The
Smart Host is another term for the server you are forwarding your messages to).
The mail server should then be able to forward the mail to another server, or send it directly. Again, this all depends on your setup.
Alternatively, you can send the Smart Host to be the SMTP server of your ISP. Not sure how you would handle authentication if the SMTP server requires it, though.
