developing my own cart

hi there,

i have been using the beginners guide to asp.net in vb.net 2003 guide. i can grasp a lot of the concepts with this book and now want to start developing my own application - i think a basic shopping cart would be cool to test my skills or lack of! :) but should i develope the admin or user area first?
